Coaching experience and background

As a professional coach, Eileen has experience training athletes from the grassroots level through national and international competition. She served as Head Coach and Skating Director of the Squamish Skating Club, while also travelling to Vancouver as a competitive coach at the BC Centre of Excellence to train high-level athletes competing nationally and internationally on the Grand Prix Circuit.

Throughout her career, Eileen has developed skaters who have achieved Skate Canada Gold Tests in Figures, Free Skate, Skills and Dance, as well as athletes who have completed competitive tests up to and including the Senior level in singles, pairs and dance.

Professional-development opportunities across Canada, the United States and Europe have allowed Eileen to share her knowledge with athletes and colleagues. These experiences have given her a strong appreciation for, and an open mind toward, the many ways skills can be presented and taught in figure skating.
